HELP STUDENTS AND RECENT GRADUATES IN THEIR JOB SEARCH

In France, “36% of students and 41% of recent graduates had their internship or job offers canceled or postponed because of the Covid crisis”. This is what reveals a study published in November 2020 by JobTeaser, a platform for recruiting young talent. Despite the figures and the bleak career perspectives due to the health and economic crisis, nearly half of them remain fairly confident and optimistic about their job search and professional career.

Here at ABS Paris, we are aware of this difficult context, especially for our international students. This is why we are working on supporting our students by providing them with a variety of services to assist them in their internships or first jobs search.

 

INTERNSHIP AND JOB OFFERS THAT MATCH STUDENTS’ NEEDS

We regularly share with them internship or part-time job offers from companies that are recruiting in key sectors: logistics (Amazon), data analysis (Google), sales in all sectors: luxury stores (Galeries Lafayette, Hermès, etc.), clothing (Nike, JD Sports, Karl Marc John, etc.), organic stores (Naturalia, Bio C’ Bon), etc.

 

ABS PARIS’ CORPORATE RELATIONS SERVICES

Pascale Ginet, Head of Corporate Relations, and Sofia Bachir, Corporate Relations Project Manager, guide students through every step of their search: they work closely with them to define their career plan, help them improve their applications, and advise them in their search for an internship or a part-time job.

 

Students and graduates also have access to an online job search platform, JobTeaser, where they can find a number of internships or part-time jobs offers selected by the Corporate Relations department.

 

MON PARCOURS EMPLOI PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PREPARE STUDENTS AND GRADUATES FOR INTERVIEWS

During last October and November, our students participated in more than 10 webinars and online workshops to get ready for the job market.

 

How to optimize their job search, how to succeed in online interviews, how to stand out from the crowd, etc. are just some of the topics discussed and advice shared to give them the keys to a successful professional integration.

 

This 100% online program has been designed in partnership with Apec, the employment agency specialized for executives, as well as major recruitment companies for young executives: Welcome to the Jungle, Michaal Page, Page Personnel, and Pimp My Career. Professionals from IGS Group sister schools (ESAM, ESIN, IPI, IGS RH) and companies (BPI, Crédit Agricole, SAP) also shared their analyses of the job market and their recommendations to future and young graduates.

 

PERSONALIZED COACHING SESSIONS BY APEC

Every month since the beginning of this academic year, an English-speaking Professional Development consultant from APEC has coached many of our future and recent graduates in English. Using her knowledge of the companies and industries with a high recruitment potential, she guides students in building their personalized search and advises them on how to find the job that matches their profile and career goals.
